A Christmas Miracle

I hope you and your family are having a wonderful holiday season.

I'm happy to report that the two big projects I was working on were both completed by Christmas morning. I put the final coat of finish on the top of the Student's Desk at about 8pm on Christmas Eve It wasn't dry enough to move into the house until just before dawn. But it was there, along with the rocker, waiting to surprise our seven year old when he left his room.

I cut it close. And there were times I wasn't sure I would make it. But it was worth the effort.

What special projects did you finish this year?

Another Tough Choice...

It was not an easy decision. But, with an unvaccinated youngster at home, and the Delta Variant raging through Missouri and Texas, I'm going to have to miss the Texas Woodworking Festival this weekend

Every Christmas I always tell myself I am going to make more of our gifts and every year life gets in the way, but this year I managed to make several wooden baskets using some clear pine I found for several of our close friends along with boxes with angled sides and ends. Also made a bunch of sets of coasters made to look like miniature pallets. As it turns out these gifts were some of the most enjoyable gifts my wife and I gave this year. Congratulations on getting your gifts finished, I am sure it is something they will always treasure. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
